Want it custom? You got it!

Best part about handmade items it that they can be customized to your exact, and I MEAN EXACT, desires!!! You want it pink, you got it. You want a moose on it, you got it. You want your favorite saying blazed across it...you got it!!!

See something you like, but you don't like it. Let me know, we can talk and hopefully come up with something you do like.

Now, you have to keep it within my realm of creativity and within my scope of work....DaVinci I am not. But as long as you stick to my Farm Girl style we can probably come up with something both of us are happy with!!

Take this for example...

Custom Rope Wreaths Available
Price Range $25 - $65
(this particular wreath $25)

A friend saw something similar to this and came to me. She asked if I knew where she could get the rope, knowing full well that I was her best Farm Girl connection. Get the rope, I said, hell I can make you one better than that! (she had texted me a picture) She has simple tastes and wanted colors that would be neutral within her home. She loves horses, and country style so the shoes added a touch of her heart into the wreath.

The rope is an original piece of art all on it's own. Blood, burnt rubber, and a little bit oh cow pie is rubbed into that nylon creation, with dirt blending it all into a natural canvas of life on a ranch. I soak the ropes to rid them of any smell or debris, then let them dry for a long time so they go back to their stiff, overused and underpaid structures. Then I coil them to the exact shape and size I want. Then add your embellsihments, whatever they be and you have a one of a kind, ranch relic in your home!

Enjoy, contact me via the comments below, or by email and we can decide on what you want yours to look like.

How Exciting!!!!

I had my first shipping request!!!!

How exciting is that, right. When you start a new business and it has little, tiny, fuzzy baby duck wings. Then you begin to get likes on Facebook, and people are starting to see your blog, then somebody "pins" one of your creations on Pinterest (probably to try and recreate it on their own), but nevermind that it is still progress.

Then you get the age old question; "I like it, do you ship? Where do you ship, and how much is it going to cost me?"

Well, here are some answers!!

1. I will ship anywhere in the continental USA

2. I would consider international shipping as long as the buyer is patient and willing to let me look into the best way to ship my merchandise to you.

3. Shipping cost will always be the "buyers" responsibility. I will promise to keep the charges ecomomical and fair, some charges on specific items may have to cover packaging as well as shipping. I will ship with the best, most responsible, and economic carrier available.

4. Some items would have to be considered freight, and shipping may be difficult. NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE THOUGH!!!

So, if you like something you see let me know and let's start shipping!!!!!!!

Antique Window Screen Christmas Style

Merry Christmas To All

I love Christmas, everything about it. The giving, the recieveing the joy and the fun. We do Jesus in our home, if you don't that's fine but to us the magic of the entire season is surrounded by the miricle of life itself. I try to instill in my children everyday how wonderful it is to be alive, to have the life we have been given. To have our freedom of choice and our ability to become whatever and whoever we want to be in life.

All that said, Christmas isn't Christmas without an evergreen, snow, bells, red warm softness, and the wilderness that surrounds. I wanted to create something that had all those things in it. Something that was old, with new. Something that takes us back to old memories, but brings us forward every year like progress. Something that is full of Christmas glory, and nature that surrounds us. Something that will last a lifetime.

SO, without further words I give to you this Christmas...
Attention to every detail

This gorgeous old antique window screen has been adorned with soft fuzzy flannel ribbon and a festive winter spray of faux pine, ice, cranberries, and snow. Two huge sleigh bells to ring in your Christmas spirit, and topped with natures perfection...a genuine whitetail deer antler shed found in Poplar, ID.

$75.00

You can hang this anywhere, it will tolerate the winds of Idaho and the current -15 below weather we are experienceing. Hang it on your door, prop it on your pourch, or bring it inside and hang it above you table on the wall to be enjoyed all day long.

No matter where or how you will enjoy this beautiful piece, I know I do.

3:21 AM

I spent the afternoon yesterday in the hospital...blah. End result, my gallbladder will be relocating itself to a medical waste bin. I'm not in the least bit sorry to see it go, it has been an on going source of pain for me, for almost two years. Yes, you read that right. I hate doctors most in this life and always wait just a touch to long before seeking care, so as I blog this early AM I blog in pain, waiting for the next wave of pain killers to kick in.

Non-Typical Mule Deer Rack $150.00
So, what can I share with you? How about something that is Red, Bold, and One of a Kind!

Something that when people walk into your home they will notice right off the bat.

Something that even the most shabby chic gal really can't say when she had seen something similar.

Barn Red, Antique Non-typical Mule Deer Original
Gorgeous Abstract beauty $150.00

Beautiful isn't it!!! This is a non-typical (meaning the points of the antlers are not symmetrical) mule deer rack. I found this beautiful beast buried at an estate sale years back. It was bleached from decades in the sun, covered in cob webs, long forgotten. I had to have it, and it's brother I will share on another day.

Something that, although they will have to inspect closely before they believe the reality of it, any outdoors man would be impressed by it's beauty.
It sat in my garage for years, and finally when we moved into our current dwelling place I had a wall for it. However, as I looked at its blank bleached bones each day something was nagging me. A friend had mentioned an idea in passing one day about some antlers of her own. It was an A HA moment and I knew instantly what needed done.

Barn red and it has come back to life. Enjoy it, he is garunteed to be one of a kind!

Saddling Up

Welcome Ya'll

I am so happy you have found this wonderful blog. I am embarking on yet another adventure and what better way then to reach more people than by doing a blog bit about it!!!

As John Wayne said:
Courage is being scared to death and saddleing up anyways.

I have done that exact thing more times than I can count, seriously. I have climbed onto the back of a thousand pound animal that is foaming in sweat, it's rib cage heaving in and out, knowing full well that this beast could kill me, and I saddle up anyways.

So, I am saddleing this horse and going for it. For years I have wanted to stay at home with my children, and still manage to make some income doing what I love. We live in an area that only allows me to train those wild beasts 8 months out of the 12. If your good at math, that leaves me 4 months with nothing to do, and a tight budget. I have tinkered around through the years making crafts, and knick knacks for my home and for friends. I made custom frames a few years back that I would sell with my own personal photography. Time was always lacking, and other more important things to presidence over a simple hobby.

Times have changed and I can devote more time to these simple things that I love. I created Farm Girl Furniture for an outlet for my creativity, and because my house can only hold so much. Check back often, you can also like me on Facebook, watch for me on Pinterest and anywhere else I might pop up. Who knows maybe in your favorite stores someday. Thanks for supporting me, my habit, and my family.

You are all friends here, and in my neck of the woods your welcome at my camp fire anytime.
